Karlien De Villiers, with her bizarre characters who seem to come from the world of comics, pushes us to reflect on problems that are always present in our society with a biting irony.
In this work on canvas, the artist shows us an accumulation of characters and objects which, as is clear from the title, are closely related to the sphere of speed, flight and the noises produced by cars, planes and rockets. To all this, as often happens in her works, is added a reference to sharp objects and disturbing, violent scenarios, in this case reinforced by the intense red color of the background.
