In Margherita Paoletti’s artworks past and present converge, where the classic iconography of saints is embraced by a distinctly modern language. The contemporary element is strongly present, imagining how saints could be appear if transported to today’s world. He even explores the representation of new and innovative saints that fully reflect the taste of the 21st century. Large figures, often frontal, dominate his painting, which mostly have dark backgrounds.
