Karlien De Villiers, with her bizarre characters who seem to come from the world of comics, pushes us to reflect on problems that are always present in our society with a biting irony.
In this artwork a girl with a summer flowered dress of an ashy blue observes us and, despite the title speaks of “seasons in the sun”, the latter is the great absentee, while two clouds of a tone similar to that of the dress dominate the sides of the figure.
