Karlien De Villiers analyzes in the work "What Are Little Boys Made Of?" the surrogate of male experiences par excellence through a path between references to war (playful and not), and critical historical moments that see man as the main subject, victim and perpetrator. The artist's aim is to tell the story of the younger generations, still burdened by the weight of the violence of the last century, but especially by its cultural heritage and its stereotypes
