"ALLEGORIA DELLA FELICITÀ PUBBLICA"
The Trento Civic Gallery is hosting the exhibition "Allegory of Public Happiness" from March 28 to June 30, 2024.
Within the exhibition, themes of public happiness, understood as the individual's urgency to overcome their private self-interest in order to aspire to a collective good, are addressed. Attempts have been made to answer these questions through the works of 31 artists, including Solomostry, star of the recent "Snakes & Shapes" exhibition, and Jackson Nkumanda.
Solomostry was born as an urban artist and began to make a name for himself in Milan's techno scene, where he was involved in creating sets inside nightclubs. From these environments he drew inspiration for his works, geometrically synthesizing the faces that surrounded him during these nights. His work, the carpet "Blu," after being hosted by Cellar Contemporary is now exhibited in Via Belenzani.
Jackson Nkumanda, whose works have been on loan from Studio d'arte Raffaelli, through his skills in 3D clay modeling and use of recycled materials from a young age attempts to describe daily life, conflicts, moments of leisure and social life in the cities and ghettos of the suburbs of Cradock, the South African town where he was born. Also through his creations, the Trento Civic Gallery goes on to explore the concept of public happiness.
We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition in search of collective happiness!
