With the exhibition "Selva", we start a new precious collaboration between Cellar Contemporary and Raw Milano
Cellar presents Angelo Maisto's "Selva" in a new exhibition project that was born from the union between the spirit of Raw and the artist's research, linked by deep affinities: the clever combination of timeless elements, the love for the natural universe, the tireless ability to surprise and amaze.
With the series "Selva" the artist deepens the archetype of the forest in which he inserts creatures born from objects, creating a sort of "fourth kingdom" to be placed side by side with the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdom.
The naturalistic works of the artist will be visible in a refined space, between the glasshouse and the corridor, in cages, in antique frames, on small pieces of furniture and near knick-knacks in a so to say wonderful ensemble.
The books by Spartaco Editions of "L'anima dei fiori" by Matilde Serao, Neapolitan author and intellectual, will also be on display; Angelo Maisto has in fact designed their cover.
The exhibition will inaugurate on the days 26 and 27 June, from 11 am to 7 pm, in presence of the artist and the curator, which will guide the visitors with a glass of Rosé Barbebelle.
