This artwork was showed in the exhibition “Balzo di specie”, where the artist Bruno Fantelli dares to challenge the traditional concept of beauty by creating his own inelegant, unconventional aesthetic, that simultaneously attracts many to reflect on this notion. Beauty, which is far from being objected and standardized for everyone, as is often implied in this historical period. The young artist’s works are often inhabited by graceless creatures achieved through dense, color-rich brushstrokes.
