The age of Gea has neither beginning nor end, it is eternal. It follows the natural rhythm, created by the alternation of opposites darkness-light, summer-winter, sun-moon, male-feminine, death-rebirth. According to some researchers, it would have been exactly Gea, the divinity of Earth, to speak through the mouth of the Delfi oracle.
The mystery of continuous birth and rebirth provocates in human being, since the ancient times, the unconscious sense of holy before every religion, before any kind of social political structure. In the past all the generative power was attributed to a Great Mother, whose representation is guaranted by the matriarchal tribes of the Paleolithic hunters since 30.000 BC. The concept of holy female, despite the many cultural and religous variations has been trasmitted to the Greco-Roman Pantheon, to the great monotheistic religions, and to Hinduism. The work of David Aaron Angeli In this fascinating syncretism moves/born the, artist capable to tracing narrative ways starting from mythological and strongly symbolic suggestions.The artist elaborates a timeless tradition where the fundamental principle is the female figure, through the wax sculpture, meticulously modeled and the drawings on paper. Some of the women of David Aaron Angeli are accompanied by a snake. There is no sin to connect the two creatures, only their common provenance from earth. Many earth goddesses emerge from the ground, blooming like flowers: ordinary women with their unique bodies identifying themselves in the uniqueness of each plant. They are represented by a work in progress that David Aaron Angeli has called ''Donna-flora'', a fusion between human and natural. The female form inside the flower gives rise to a process of ''Germination'', which makes it a seed for a new life.
The generative ring investigated by the artist it closes and reopens in a timeless narration that pays tribute to woman, earth and its fruits.
