"David Aaron Angeli, plasma sculture in cera e da corpo al disegno ricercando un’essenzialità che si libera del decorativismo per raggiungere la purezza della forma e l’intensità del significato."
Born in 1982, in Santiago, Cile, David Aaron Angeli soon arrived to Trentino Alto Adige, Italy. He studied Jewelry at Istituto d’Arte Vittoria in Trento, and in 2006 he got his diploma from Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, in Milan. He expresses his research through drawings on paper and sculptures. His drawings create big wall installations and seem to inhabit the space. The raw material for his scupltures is bee-wax. Sculptures are then painted with Indian ink or drawn near other materials, like wood, metal and glass. The artist currently lives and works in Dimaro, Trento.
As then, Europa is the symbol of people shifting from the East to the West, of the physical movement of bodies, as well as of travels and discoveries.
