The artistic trio

Born as a clothing-line brand in 1998, in Virginia Beach, from the idea of both artists Joe Grillo and Laura Grant, Dearraindrop is today internationally better known as an artist collective. Soon the duo became a trio, with the third artist Billy Grant; indeed, they were all sure that the union of more and arms would bring to better results. The basic philosophy of the cooperative is the search for different elements to put together and overlap. The forms of art through which the essence of the cooperative expresses itself are various: paintings, collages, videos, exhibitions, interactive installations and musical instruments they themselves hand-fabricate.

At Cellar Contemporary you can find Dearraindrop’s clothes, in limited edition or not, and sculptures and paintings made by Joe Grillo. Clothes and artworks make explicit the superimposition technique dear to Dearraindrop.
